Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Man with Van Belsize Park in relation to our operations and supply chains. We are committed to conducting all aspects of our business in an ethical and responsible manner, ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation have no place in our activities.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Belsize Park provides transport and relocation services, including local moves, deliveries, and related logistics. Our supply chains include vehicle leasing and maintenance, fuel providers, equipment and packaging suppliers, facility services, and a small number of subcontracted drivers and helper crews. We recognise that every part of this chain can be exposed to risks related to modern slavery, and we take active steps to identify and manage those risks.

Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

We operate a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced or compulsory labour, and child labour. This policy applies to everyone working for or on behalf of Man with Van Belsize Park, including employees, subcontractors, agency workers, and suppliers. We will not knowingly engage with any organisation that is involved in or complicit with modern slavery practices, and we reserve the right to terminate relationships with any party found to be in breach of this principle.

Our expectations are communicated through contracts, purchase terms, and direct engagement with our suppliers and partners. We expect all those we work with to uphold the same standards and to cascade these expectations through their own supply chains.

Supplier Due Diligence and Audits

We undertake proportionate due diligence on suppliers and subcontractors, with a particular focus on areas where there may be a higher risk of labour exploitation, such as temporary labour, vehicle subcontracting, and cleaning or facility services. This due diligence may include requests for information on working conditions, right to work checks, pay practices, and health and safety arrangements.

Where appropriate, we conduct audits or request evidence of suppliers own audit processes. These checks are designed to confirm that workers are employed freely, paid fairly, treated with dignity, and have appropriate documentation. If concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier on corrective actions and, where necessary, review or end the business relationship.

Training, Awareness, and Responsibilities

Managers and staff involved in procurement, operations, or people management are informed about the risks of modern slavery and how these may arise in our sector. Responsibilities for implementing this statement sit with senior management, who oversee supplier selection and contracting, and ensure that ethical standards remain integral to our decision-making.

We encourage an open culture where concerns can be raised and discussed without fear of negative consequences, and we are committed to improving awareness across the business over time.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Any employee, worker, subcontractor, or third party who has concerns about potential modern slavery or unethical labour practices connected to Man with Van Belsize Park is encouraged to report them as soon as possible. Concerns can be raised with line managers or senior management, or through any existing internal reporting or grievance channels used for serious concerns.

All reports will be taken seriously and handled sensitively. We will investigate reported concerns promptly and, where appropriate, take corrective or disciplinary action. We will not tolerate any victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith.

Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement

We recognise that addressing modern slavery risks is an ongoing responsibility. We will review this Modern Slavery Statement at least once every twelve months and update it as necessary to reflect changes in our operations, supply chains, legal environment, and industry good practice.

As part of this annual review, we will consider the effectiveness of our due diligence, supplier engagement, training, and reporting mechanisms. Where improvements are identified, we will implement changes to strengthen our approach and further reduce the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.

This statement reflects the commitment of Man with Van Belsize Park to act ethically and with integrity in all our relationships and to put in place effective systems and controls to safeguard against any form of modern slavery.
